Get ready for Mediterranean nights at Sugar, the rooftop lounge and bar above EAST on the 32 floor.
With sweeping views of Victoria Harbour, Sugar is one of the sweetest spots in the city. Running through summer to August 29, Sugar will transform every Tuesday night into a “Mediterranean Sea” theme with eight signature cocktails. The liquid line-up includes Bacon Negroni, Cypriot Punch, Kir Royale, Matador, Turkish March, Atlantic, Mediterranean Sky, and Sangria.
The latter two elixirs are meant to be shared by two in jars, and come with a complimentary Mediterranean pizza. To help the tipple, they’ll play “Flamenco/Costa lounge” with “Oriental vibes” mixed with Saharan and Oasis flair by their in house DJ. Cocktails sell for HK$ 100 while the jars for two go for HK$ 195.
Starting on May 28 and extending to October 15, Sugar features organic afternoon tea. EAST has been growing its own organic herbs for years, but this year the hotel has also planted cherry tomatoes, eggplant, okra, lettuce, and more garden varieties.
It’s afternoon tea sets will offer these with Layered Super Food Salad, Cherry Tomato Gazpacho, Pea and Mint Mousse, and more. Tea sets come with a selection of cocktails such as Energy Garden, 5 Green Collin and Healthy Fountain (for two to share).
Afternoon tea is from 2:30 to 6p every Sunday at HK$388 for two. For reservations email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call (852) 3968-3738.
